Award of Abraham Moss Leisure Centre

FDL have been awarded the demolition of the Leisure Centre and Library complex at the Abraham Moss secondary school in Manchester for Laing O’Rourke Construction.  The demolition will take place while the remainder of the school is fully operational and involves part of the structure being split from the remaining building.

The complex contained a large public library, two swimming pools, two squash courts, an indoor sports’ hall and a large gymnasium as well as other offices and some classrooms.  Demolition is to make way for a more modern state of the art sports facility and library for the school and community.  Read more about the new development on Laing O’Rourke’s website.

The demolition is due to commence in early March and projected to take 6 months.
